OpenMapp is a map of US Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gyms. This page is for people who use the website, create an account, or ask an assistant (including Muse) to look up gyms. Terms of use cover what you may do with the catalog.

What we collect

• If you create an account: email, a hashed password, gyms you mark as want-to-go or visited, optional home gym, and theme preference. We do not store your password in plain text.
• If you suggest a listing fix: the gym, your note, and optional name and email if you give them.
• Usage: pages and map searches, product events (PostHog), and ads measurement (Google Ads) on the live site. Session recording is off. We try not to send emails or passwords to analytics.
• Technical: IP address, user agent, and request logs for hosting, abuse control, and rate limits on the site, API, and MCP server.

You can browse gyms without an account. We do not take drop-in payments or memberships.

Cookies

Signed-in sessions use an om_session cookie. We also use a member flag and an optional dark-theme cookie. Analytics and ads tags may set their own cookies.

Who processes this

The site runs on Vercel. Maps load tiles from OpenFreeMap. Analytics go to PostHog. Production pages load Google’s ads tag. Assistants that call openmapp.com/mcp send the lookup to us; we do not get your Muse, ChatGPT, or Claude account from that call.

We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

Account data stays until you ask us to delete it. Sessions expire after 30 days of inactivity. Logs and analytics are kept only as long as we need them to run and improve the product.

Your choices

Sign out from the account page. To delete an account or ask what we have, email burmanharry@gmail.com. OpenMapp is not directed at children under 13.
