How we count

Every figure comes from the 1,364 US Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gyms on OpenMapp with a published weekly timetable and a saved location. Class times come from each gym’s own schedule. Visitor policies and drop-in prices count only where the gym states them; anything unstated stays out of the totals rather than being guessed. Per-capita figures divide by the population of the whole metropolitan area, not the city limits.
